A not so long time ago, in a hospital pretty much down the street Teak was born! A Tampa native who was a hyper only child, Teak found her way to the creative arts rather young. She began her college career at Florida State University then finishing her Creative Writing Degree at The University of South Florida. Working in advertising led Teak to realize her love of the culinary arts, namely cake decorating. She worked in several local bakeries honing her own decorative style eventually working for herself at Sweets By Teak! The addition of her daughter in 2016 put her decorating on hold for a bit. Around the same time Teak was invited to a First Friday at a place called The Disco Dolls. She brought them an offering... a cake, naturally. There she met a pair of sisters (with amazing hair) along with their equally amazing artist friend and a friendship was formed.
